The red-brown clinohumite comes from the Ladjuar Medar locality, in the Koksha Valley of Badakhshan (Afghanistan). The stones from this locality were originally identified as chondrodites, but a new redetermination revealed that they are clinohumites. Some of the world’s finest clinohumites come from Tajikistan (these stones are bright orange in colour). The offered stone measures 4.28 x 3.36 mm and contains small, solid inclusions (probably crystal nuclei). The stone is particularly suitable for collectors of rare gemstones.
