Diopside 2.95 ct

The light green-yellow MgCaSi2O6 diopside comes from the troubled Nuristan region of Afghanistan. Diopside is normally only black, grey or brown; this offered piece is exceptional for its unusual colour. The stone is cut to a rectangular cushion cut measuring 11.0 x 7.6 mm and is suitable primarily for a gemstone collection, although use in jewelry is also possible.
