This very rare, fully TRANSPARENT (!) manganese silicate rhodonite (not to be confused with rhodolite garnet) comes from the Morro da Mina locality, Conselheiro, Lafaiete, about 100 km south of Belo Horizonte, in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The stone is cut into an oval with dimensions of 5.42 x 4.40 mm. Rhodonite is mainly suitable for gemstone collectors, but can also be used in jewellery on a limited basis.
