Tento drah\u00fd k\u00e1men byl pojmenov\u00e1n na po\u010dest nizozemsk\u00e9ho plukovn\u00edka Hendrika von Prehna, kter\u00fd tento miner\u00e1l p\u0159ivezl z Kapska v Ji\u017en\u00ed Africe. V&nbsp;dob\u011b n\u00e1lezu prehnitu byly miner\u00e1ly \u010dasto pojmenov\u00e1v\u00e1ny podle jejich vlastnost\u00ed, ale prehnit p\u0159edstavoval v\u00fdjimku a stal se prvn\u00edm miner\u00e1lem pojmenovan\u00fdm po konkr\u00e9tn\u00edm \u010dlov\u011bku. Objev prehnitu byl v\u00fdznamn\u00fdm krokem v historii mineralogie a gemologie a d\u00edky sv\u00e9 barv\u011b a pr\u016fsvitnosti si tento k\u00e1men brzy z\u00edskal oblibu mezi sb\u011brateli a \u0161perka\u0159i.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vlastnosti<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prehnit je hydratovan\u00fd v\u00e1penato-hlinitok\u0159emi\u010ditan s chemick\u00fdm vzorcem Ca\u2082Al\u2082Si\u2083O\u2081\u2080(OH)\u2082. Pat\u0159\u00ed do skupiny fylosilik\u00e1t\u016f, co\u017e znamen\u00e1, \u017ee jeho struktura je slo\u017eena z vrstev tetraedrick\u00fdch k\u0159emi\u010ditan\u016f spojen\u00fdch s dal\u0161\u00edmi prvky, jako je hlin\u00edk a v\u00e1pn\u00edk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prehnit krystalizuje v ortorombick\u00e9 krystalov\u00e9 soustav\u011b. I kdy\u017e se mohou vytv\u00e1\u0159et i jeho krystaly, prehnit se \u010dast\u011bji nach\u00e1z\u00ed ve form\u011b vl\u00e1knit\u00fdch nebo ledvinit\u00fdch agreg\u00e1t\u016f, kter\u00e9 maj\u00ed hladk\u00e9 zaoblen\u00e9 tvary. Prehnit je \u010dasto nal\u00e9z\u00e1n ve form\u011b kulovit\u00fdch nebo hroznovit\u00fdch uskupen\u00ed (tzv. botryoid\u00e1ln\u00edch tvarech). Na Mohsov\u011b stupnici tvrdosti se prehnit pohybuje mezi 6 a 6,5. Index lomu sv\u011btla prehnitu je 1,610\u20131,640.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nej\u010dast\u011bj\u0161\u00ed barva prehnitu je sv\u011btle zelen\u00e1, \u010dasto se vyskytuj\u00edc\u00ed v pastelov\u00fdch odst\u00ednech. N\u011bkdy m\u00e1 prehnit \u017elutozelen\u00fd t\u00f3n, co\u017e je d\u00e1no p\u0159\u00edtomnost\u00ed mal\u00e9ho stopov\u00e9ho mno\u017estv\u00ed \u017eeleza. Existuj\u00ed tak\u00e9 vz\u00e1cn\u00e9 exempl\u00e1\u0159e, kter\u00e9 jsou bezbarv\u00e9, \u0161ed\u00e9 nebo dokonce nar\u016f\u017eov\u011bl\u00e9. Nejcenn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed prehnity maj\u00ed jasn\u011b zelenou barvu a vysokou pr\u016fhlednost. Barva prehnitu m\u016f\u017ee tak\u00e9 p\u0159ipom\u00ednat zelen\u00e9 jablko a je n\u011bkdy ozna\u010dov\u00e1na jako \u201ejable\u010dn\u00e1 zelen\u00e1\u201c. Lesk prehnitu je obvykle skeln\u00fd a\u017e perle\u0165ov\u00fd. Prehnit m\u016f\u017ee b\u00fdt pr\u016fsvitn\u00fd a\u017e nepr\u016fhledn\u00fd, p\u0159i\u010dem\u017e nejlep\u0161\u00ed exempl\u00e1\u0159e jsou pr\u016fsvitn\u00e9, co\u017e jim dod\u00e1v\u00e1 m\u011bkk\u00fd, jemn\u00fd vzhled.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Geneze<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prehnit vznik\u00e1 p\u0159ev\u00e1\u017en\u011b v hydroterm\u00e1ln\u00edch podm\u00ednk\u00e1ch, kdy doch\u00e1z\u00ed k cirkulaci hork\u00fdch vodn\u00edch roztok\u016f v hornin\u00e1ch, kter\u00e9 n\u00e1sledn\u011b vyvol\u00e1vaj\u00ed krystalizaci miner\u00e1l\u016f. Tento proces prob\u00edh\u00e1 v n\u00edzkoteplotn\u00edch metamorfn\u00edch prost\u0159ed\u00edch. Prehnit se \u010dasto tvo\u0159\u00ed v dutin\u00e1ch vulkanick\u00fdch hornin, zejm\u00e9na v mandlovcovit\u00fdch l\u00e1v\u00e1ch, kde se spolu s dal\u0161\u00edmi miner\u00e1ly, jako jsou zeolity, epidoty a apatity, ukl\u00e1d\u00e1 ve form\u011b hroznovit\u00fdch nebo ledvinit\u00fdch agreg\u00e1t\u016f.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prehnit tak\u00e9 m\u016f\u017ee vznikat b\u011bhem metamorf\u00f3zy v\u00e1pencov\u00fdch hornin, kde jsou p\u0159\u00edtomny v\u00e1penat\u00e9 slo\u017eky, kter\u00e9 se kombinuj\u00ed s hlin\u00edkem a k\u0159em\u00edkem. Tento proces prob\u00edh\u00e1 p\u0159i ni\u017e\u0161\u00edch teplot\u00e1ch a tlac\u00edch, co\u017e umo\u017e\u0148uje vznik miner\u00e1l\u016f, jako je prehnit, kter\u00fd m\u00e1 ve srovn\u00e1n\u00ed s jin\u00fdmi metamorfovan\u00fdmi miner\u00e1ly relativn\u011b jednoduchou krystalovou strukturu.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">V\u00fdskyt<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prehnit se vyskytuje na n\u011bkolika v\u00fdznamn\u00fdch nalezi\u0161t\u00edch po cel\u00e9m sv\u011bt\u011b, a\u010dkoliv n\u011bkter\u00e9 z t\u011bchto nalezi\u0161\u0165 jsou zn\u00e1m\u00e9 pro produkci vysoce kvalitn\u00edch krystal\u016f, zat\u00edmco jin\u00e9 poskytuj\u00ed miner\u00e1l v m\u00e9n\u011b kvalitn\u00ed form\u011b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jedny z&nbsp;nejhez\u010d\u00edch prehnit\u016f se vyskytuj\u00ed v&nbsp;oblasti Kayes v&nbsp;Mali na z\u00e1pad\u011b Afriky. D\u00e1le se kvalitn\u00ed prehnity vyskytuj\u00ed v&nbsp;Ji\u017en\u00ed Africe v&nbsp;okol\u00ed Kapsk\u00e9ho m\u011bsta v Austr\u00e1lii, zejm\u00e9na v Queenslandu a Nov\u00e9m Ji\u017en\u00edm Walesu. \u010c\u00ednsk\u00e1 provincie Hunan a skotsk\u00fd Isle of Skye produkuj\u00ed kvalitn\u00ed uk\u00e1zky prehnitu.
