Transparent (!), blood-red rutile (TiO2), cut into the shape of a regular rectangular baguette measuring 6.95 x 4.35 mm. The stone comes from the Erici Cardovo (formerly Agua Quente) locality, Paramirim das Crioulas, Pico das Almas, Bahia state, Brazil. Transparent, completely clear rutiles are very rare in nature, while completely opaque rutiles are common. Offered at a very affordable price, this rutile is only suitable for gemstone collectors.
