Faceted sillimanites are very rare gemstones, as the perfectly transparent raw material is found only in limited quantities. This COLORLESS, completely transparent sillimanite is cut to form a modified multi-row oval measuring 7.24 x 6.13 mm. It contains a very thin silver (non-repeating) sliver that causes the entire stone to have a silvery tint. Sillimanite comes from the Mogok locality, 120 km NE of Mandalay, in Burma (now Myanmar). The offered stone is suitable for very demanding gemstone collectors.
